When you are choosing a chick flick to watch with your man, there are some things that you should watch out for in the trailers. The number one thing that will cause your man to become bored and annoyed is excessive drama, especially if the drama causes too many tears from the lead actress. The only thing that will make the tears acceptable to him will be slapstick or other forms of humor that cause the tears to appear unrealistic or ridiculous in nature. The second thing that is an important factor in your choice is the demeanor of the lead actress. It is important to choose a movie that has a role for the lead actress that shows her strength of charachter without coming across too strong or overbearing. No man wants to watch a whimpy charachter but he also does not want to watch a movie where the female charachter denegrates the stregnth and capability of the male charachter. The final important factor in your choice should be to choose a movie that has both humor and action. If there is action or adventure of some form, it will help your man to remain engaged in the movie.

There are many historical theaters that are still in use. These theaters are mostly in larger cities. Perhaps the most famous theater that still sees use to do is the Ed Sullivan theater. The 50s comedian and talk show host did his show from a theater in New York. The theater is still in use, although Sullivan has long since given his last performance here. The Late Show with David Letterman records its weekly broadcasts in this theater.

Ford’s theatre also remains in operation. Abraham Lincoln attended this playhouse throughout the civil war. John Wilkes Booth shot the sixteenth president of the United States. The theater still puts on plays today and serves as a museum. The owners of the theater have dedicated a number of exhibits in the playhouse to the civil war and to Lincoln’s presidency.

California contains a number of historic movie theaters. Los Angeles’s Brodway district contains the largest number of theaters built before World War II. The Los Angels and the Orpheum all use the art-deco styling that was popular in the 1930s. Humphrey Bogart, Spencer Tracy and many other grate actors would have their movies shown upon these screens. The screens also showed Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse, Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers to young audiences.

Experiencing movies at home can be one of the best and most intimate ways to view a film. It is not always required that the characters appear larger than life and burst your eardrums with their proclamations to make the experience of a film an emotional and engaging one. When you are viewing movies in your own home, you may be under the impression that the only way to make this a notable experience is to have a huge television that has three-dimensional capabilities and a sound system that is capable of rattling your neighbors windows.Never heard of this before? Get up to speed here. Not all of us can afford such luxuries, so we should point out some simpler things that enhance the aesthetic experience of watching movies at home.

When viewing films at home, you are on your own schedule. So be sure that you are in the proper mood for the content of the film. If it is a scary movie, wait until it is late at night and dark or stormy. If your movie is a love story, then have a loved one there to watch it with you as well as some comfort food. That is another important thing to enhance your movie experience. You are not paying outrageous movie prices for snacks, so treat yourself to your favorite food while enjoying a film. Make sure the lighting is appropriate. We do still desire some element of the movie theater experience when watching a film at home, so dim the lights. While we mentioned that it is not necessary to rattle the windows, do have the volume sufficiently high to let you feel engulfed by the film and a bit shaken by action scenes should your film include these. All of these things are simple actions that can heighten your movie viewing experience in your home with very little effort and expense.

Comedy in the film industry has brought smiles to countless faces. Comedic movies abound showcasing humor across Hollywood. Rarely, movies show themselves incredibly hilarious when one can not help but laugh throughout. From recent movies, to timely classics; few keep a constant stream of laughter-producing humor. The 2011 remake “Arthur” (starring Russell Brand) is a film of incredible humor. The hilarious plot of a rich and irresponsible man who is forced to marry or lose his fortune, keeps viewers entertained and laughing from beginning to end. The 1987 classic, “Planes, Trains & Automobiles” (starring Steve Martin and John Candy) is one which keeps audiences rolling in the aisles. A story of two strangers whose lives become intertwined displays classic humor throughout. Matthew Broderick brings a character to life we all love and know: Ferris Buller. This 1986 slapstick comedy, “”Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”, continues to relive its glory days. Generations are growing up laughing with this timely classic. Movies that make one laugh throughout continue to prove popular by scoring big at the box offices. Even though sides my hurt, cheeks might burn, and tears fall, laughter throughout a movie brings joy, and happiness.

With a slew of movies geared toward children coming out each year sometimes it can be difficult for parents to decide which movie would bring the most entertainment for all parties involved. Typically the kids movies that combine mild adult humor, references and topics that go above a child’s head are the films that parents quite enjoy viewing with their children.

Some movies which have proven to be popular with both children and parents alike are the ‘Toy Story’ and ‘Ice Age’ trilogies. The popularity of theses two film franchises is undeniable, their success stems from both having compelling enough plots and dialog for adults while being simultaneously entertaining and easy to follow for children.

Other kid movies that are hits with the parent crowd include the movie ‘Up’ and ‘The Incredibles’. The film ‘Up’ which features an uncommon hero in the form a curmudgeon of a man with adult woes grabs the attention of parents whereas the adventure of the movie draws the children in. ‘The Incredibles’ also compels both parents and children in the same way that ‘Up’ does as it portrays a incognito superhero family as having everyday problems and commences with action packed thrills that is all around entertaining.
